Steven Lampe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home and Crematory - Ambler on Mar. 18, 2026.
Steven Thomas Lampe, age 57, of Blue Bell, PA, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. He spent his final weeks at home surrounded by family and friends, recounting endless good memories. He was the loving husband of 34 years to Patrizia "Patie" (Pietrafesa) Lampe. Steven was born in Bryn Mawr, PA, on Friday, September 13, 1968 to Ruth (Powers) Lampe and the late Carl J. Lampe, Sr. Always local, he was a graduate of St. Katharine of Siena Elementary School, Archbishop Carroll High School, received bachelor's degrees in Economics and Finance at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, and earned an MBA at Wharton in the Executive program.

In 1992, he married the love of his life, Patie, and together they raised three beautiful children. Steven began his professional career as a CPA at Price Waterhouse, becoming a tax manager before moving on to Delaware Investments where he rose from Vice President of Taxation to Portfolio Manager covering the business and financial services and healthcare sectors of the Emerging Growth Equity team. Often engaged in philanthropy, Steven gave his time and talents to serve on Boards for various charities and organizations. Steven was widely known as an obsessive Phillies and Eagles fan, always ready with stats. In addition to sports his passions included reading, history, trivia, game nights, and traveling, visiting forty-nine states, and driving roundtrip across the USA twice in recent years. Although he never sought the limelight, he always seemed to be the center of any crowd. He was a great storyteller and the favorite friend of many. Steven was brilliant yet humble, able to make anyone feel comfortable in conversation. His gifts of intellect, wit, humor, and intellectual curiosity were outweighed only by his heart and love for his family and friends. Steven never took life for granted or complained about the cards life had dealt him, handling each challenge with grace and dignity. He woke up every day hoping to do better, and never let a day go by where his four girls didn't know they were his heart and source of happiness

In addition to his wife Patie and his mother Ruth, he is survived by his 3 daughters Noelle, Nadine, and Justine Lampe, his siblings Carl Lampe (Suzanne), Karen Lampe (Garry Coldren), Lynn Lindquist (the late James), Curt Lampe (the late Terry), brothers-in-law Gianfranco Pietrafesa (Julie), Anton Pietrafesa (Michele), nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the many he was a surrogate dad to.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Rd., Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. There will be no visitation on Tuesday morning. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill West Cemetery, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA.
