John Nelson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home and Crematory - Ambler on Mar. 10, 2026.
John Fitzgerald Nelson was born on April 4, 1964, in Abington Hospital in Abington, PA to the late Walter Nelson and Jeronia Nelson. He was called home to rest in paradise with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

John was a shining beam of light to everyone who knew him. Once you met him, you loved him. He was a devoted father, grandfather, loyal friend, caring brother, cousin, and in-law, and a wonderful partner in love with Ginny, his soulmate.

After John completed his education, he enlisted in the National Guards. He was known for his style, which he got from his momma. Whenever you saw John, he was well dressed, smelling good, with a cheerful smile and a hug for all. He was known for saying, "love you" to everyone. John loved watching all sports, especially football and basketball. He was a true Philadelphia fan. He also liked watching the ID channel, Family Feud, where he thought he knew all the answers, and Impractical Jokers, which made him laugh that laugh we all loved to hear. Being surrounded by the people he loved brought him the greatest joy. John had a smile that would light up a room, and a sense of humor that was both comforting and unforgettable.

John's love, laughter, and light will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His legacy lives on in the memories he created the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us each day.

Left to cherish his precious memories is his beloved soulmate, Ginny; his siblings, Loretta and Joann, his children, Eric, John Jr. Jasmyn, Desiree, Cherrae, Ernst, bonus children Tori, Tracy, his cherished grandchildren, Chloe, Peyton, Austin, Eric Jr., Cydney, Cameron, Judah, Vintage, Brookelynn, MacKenzie, Bahir, Brayden, Blair; Aunts Minnie, Deloris, Ianther, Greta, Esther, Georgeann; uncles Bobby, Bob, Pernell, Walt; niece, Siykea, nephews, Arthur, Justin (Jennifer), great niece, MaKenzie, great nephews, Matthew and Marcus, and along with a host of cousins, extended family and friends, all of whom will carry his love in their hearts forever.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Jeronia, father, Walter, and brother, Walter Jr.
