Earl Evander Rayfield

Earl Evander Rayfield, age 92 of Bladenboro, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Montgomery and Pauline Rayfield; wife and mother of his children, Esther Shaw Rayfield; two sisters, Jessie R. Butler and Margaret R. Stevens; and a brother, Edwin Rayfield. He is survived by his friend and caretaker, Doretta Lennon of Bladenboro; a son, Hunter Earl Rayfield and wife Christine of Indiana; a daughter, Carolyn R. Freeman of Greenville SC; three sisters, Dorothy Worth of Reidsville, Kathleen Bourne of Maryland, and Shirley Casady of Virginia; five grandchildren, Rebekah, Ashlyn, Mark, Julie, Jeanette; and nine great grandchildren, Leah, Luke, Keaton, Bennett, Sophie, Katie, John, Jacob and Jackson. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at White Oak Baptist Church. Services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Danny Lewis and Rev. Larry Hayes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Good News Baptist Church Fellowship Fund or White Oak Gym Fund.
