Earl L. Richards, age 84 of Canton passed away on June 19, 2024.
He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on February 29, 1940 to his parents, the late Lillian (née Gaskill) and James L. Richards. Earl is the beloved and devoted husband of 58 years to Elizabeth (née Odgers); loving father of three children – Laura (David) Hahn, Erin (David) Downs and Katherine (Ryan) Hartley; proud grandfather of David Hahn, Ryan Hahn, Brian Downs, Lillian Downs, Olivia Hartley, Ellery Hartley and Mabel Hartley.
Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his discharge from military service, he enjoyed a very successful career in the airline industry as a Station Manager for U. S. Airways.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
Earl will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, 32163 Huron River Drive, Flat Rock, Michigan.
To his family, friends and all who knew and loved Earl, he was an inspiration who will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
