Lesa Lanette Richards

Lesa Lanette Richards, 59, passed away on February 28, 2026.

Lesa was born on April 3, 1966, in Newport, Arkansas. She was a devoted mother, loyal friend, and a woman who carried quiet strength throughout her life.

She dedicated 20 years of service to General Industries, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Lesa believed in working hard and took pride in caring for her family.

Her greatest joy was being a mother. She loved her children deeply and unconditionally, and that love was the foundation of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Merritt (Brydon Anders) of Piggott, Arkansas; her son, Allen Richards of Bradford, Arkansas; and her brother, Berry Wilkinson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Raymond Wilkinson; her mother, Ruthel Gene Smith; her stepmother, Nova Jo Wilkinson; her sister, Connie Burns; and her brother, Johnny Wilkinson.

A celebration of life will be held on March 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

Lesa will be remembered for her resilience, her love for her family, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
