Joy Lynn Buckner, 82, of Bald Knob, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born on July 12, 1943, to Leonard Buckner and Marie (Brown) Buckner.

Joy was an avid outdoorsman who found great happiness in hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved farming, especially working cattle and mowing yards, he took pride and was meticulous about keeping his own yard looking just right.

Above all, Joy will be remembered as a great father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a loyal friend. His strong work ethic, caring nature, and love for the simple things in life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Joy is survived by his two children, Vickie Rutherford and Joseph Buckner: his sister, Connie Jackson; grandchildren, Kristee Henson, Derrick Rutherford, Patrick Rutherford, Autumn Buckner, Tristan Buckner, Nikki Gentry; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna (Elliott) Buckner; his parents; brother, Bobby Joe; sisters, Violet Farnsworth and Wanda; two granddaughters, Brandi Brown and Angel Buckner.

Visitation will be held at Powell Funeral Home of Bald Knob on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. followed by a Graveside Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Velvet Ridge Cemetery in Bald Knob, Arkansas. Bro. Don Pettit will be officiating and those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris Henson, Danny Elliott, DJ Elliott, Jeremy Elliott, Robbie Elliott and James Cobbs.
