Terry Buckner

Terry Lee Buckner, 60, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was born on May 11, 1965, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Mary Ruth Smith, and his brother-in-law, Billy Ray Young.

Terry grew up in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and attended Kirkman High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing with his beloved Jack Russell, Hank, and most of all, spending time with his family. Terry was very outgoing and never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Harold and Genevieve Howell; his son, Eric Buckner; his daughter, Cindy Buckner; his sisters, Louise (John) Weaver and Sherry Young; his nephew, Josh (Kim) Slaton; and his faithful companion, Hank.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, South Crest Chapel, 833 Chickamauga Avenue, Rossville, Georgia.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with live webcasting.

Interment will be held at Chattanooga Memorial Park in Red Bank.
