A funeral service for Earl will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona with Pastor Jason Fischer officiating. Burial will be held in Evergreen cemetery in Wesley with Military Honors conducted. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Earl Dwight Robinson was born November 12, 1931 in rural Algona; the son of Clair and Neva (Brayton) Robinson. He grew in in the Welsey area and graduated from Wesley High School in 1949.
Following high school, Earl proudly served in the United States Air Force, enlisting on December 29, 1949. He was honorably discharged on June 10, 1953, with the rank of Airman 1st Class. After his military service, Earl worked for 12 years at the Creamery in Wesley before joining Snap-on, where he worked for 28 years until his retirement in 1994.
On July 1, 1978, Earl was united in marriage to Juanita (Rush) in Britt. Following their marriage they lived in Wesley.
Outside of his career, Earl led a simple life that brought him much joy. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time at the cabin by the lake, and especially fishing with his grandson, Curtis. He was a member of Algona Faith Church. Earl died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Algona Manor Care Center. He was 93.
He is survived by his children, Charles (Shelly) Robinson of Algona, Carol (Gilles) Allouche of Ontario, Canada, David (Wendy) Robinson of Emmetsburg, Bobie (Phillip) Blocker of Bancroft; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Juanita; grandson, Scott Robinson; brothers, Marion, William, Darrell, and Richard.
