Earle Welch Obituary
He married Gladys D. Baker in Windsor, on August 31, 1963, and shared 38 loving years with her.
Earle was a self-taught, lifelong mechanic who was able to fix almost anything with an engine and was truly a simple man. In his free time, he loved hunting, fishing, dancing, and gardening. Earle was often found helping others with anything that he was called on for.
In addition to his parents, Earle is predeceased by his wife, as well as 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Earle leaves behind his 2 sisters, Alice Baxter and Norma Welch, 3 sons, Earle Welch Jr., Carl Welch and his wife Beth, James Welch and his wife Jill, and daughter, Roxanne Zwaga and her husband Chris. As well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Earle's visitation will be held on Tuesday November 28 from 10-11Am with a funeral service to follow, beginning at 11Am at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of your choice.
Arrangements are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Care, One Church St., Augusta, where memories, condolences and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of our website at www.khrfuneralhomes.com

Words cannot express the Heartbreak of hearing of the passing of Earl. He was a staple in Maine to us and a great friend and a wonderful wonderful person. Always made you feel welcome and would do just about anything that was asked of him. Every summer when I would go there I always stopped and said hello and he would always walk up to the house to say hello make sure that everything was okay and if I needed anything. He was a great friend to the family for many many years and he will definitely be missed. Earl thank you for everything that you've done for our family and may you rest in peace in your reunion with Gladys be a wonderful one. I know you were hurting from the day she passed. But now you are together with her. Rest in peace Earl and take Gladys dancing every Saturday night LOL
