Augusta- Jean M. Keddy (Walls), 67, of Gray Birch Dr., died unexpectedly on February

24, 2026, at her home due to preexisting health-related causes.

Jean was born in Worcester, MA on February 9, 1959, the daughter of the late Jeannie

M. (Bergman / Walls) Jolicoeur and Robert Walls. Jeanie was remarried to Richard

Jolicoeur, who treated Jean like she was his own, even after the passing of her mother.

She attended local schools and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in

Worcester, MA.

In her early years Jean moved around with her husband of 35 years, Wayne A. Keddy,

who was in the military. Jean and Wayne lived in Texas, Hawaii and New York before

returning to Worcester, MA. Eventually they moved to make their home in Maine. Jean

worked doing residential and commercial cleaning. In her spare time, she enjoyed

baking for family friends especially her pumpkin bread and her potato salad. She

enjoyed volunteering at the craft center at Gray Birch, helping with different craft

projects, playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Thorin and Patrica Miles, and a brother,

John Robert Walls. Jean would also tell you she was predeceased by her beloved cat

Smokey, who was more than a cat to her. She is survived by two sons, James and

Joshua Keddy. James and Amanda Keddy of Biddeford, and Jean's eight

grandchildren, Elijah, Aiden, Liam, Layla, Dylan, Maddox, Burton, and Olivia. Joshua

Keddy and her favorite fur-baby Kimber of Augusta. Jean leaves behind many friends

and touched the hearts of many around her.

A Celebration of Life for Jean will be held on Sunday, March 15th at 1PM, at the Arch

Beta Resident Center; 21 Gray Birch Drive, Augusta, ME. There will also be a grave

side service in the spring of 26 when Jean's ashes will be laid to rest along with her

family that has passed before her. The date of the service at Notre Dame Cemetery in

Worcester, MA is to be determined. Arrangements and guidance are under the direction

of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta, ME. Condolences,
