Francis Edward Keddy

Francis Edward Keddy, born February 8, 1929, son of Ernest and Marian Keddy, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 20, 2025.

Fran is now reunited with his beloved wife, Joy Keddy, who predeceased him in September of 2022. Their enduring partnership and devotion to family were central to his life.

Fran is survived by his four children, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, their spouses, loved ones and extended family members; all of whom were a great source of pride and joy to him.

An unwavering and self-reliant man, Fran continued to care for himself following the passing of Joy, remaining independent until the last few months of his life. He was deeply connected to the land and took great satisfaction in farming and construction work throughout his years. Family snowmobiling adventures and camping vacations created lasting memories that will be treasured by generations.

In his later years, Fran found contentment in maintaining his log cabin, woodworking, and faithfully keeping up with his favorite television “stories.” His quiet strength, steady presence, and love of simple pleasures defined a life well lived.

The family will hold a service in the spring at Emerson Road Cemetery, where Fran will be laid to rest beside Joy.
