Lucy Schoff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 10, 2026.
Lucy Stoughton Schoff, age 90, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 3, 2026. She was born in Lancaster, New Hampshire and spent her life devoted to family, hard work, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Lucy was the proud mother of three children: Robin Berghorn (partner Steve Lau), Julie Hall (Mark), and Corey Schoff (partner Larry Dew). She was a loving grandmother to Ashley Powell (Mike), Heidi Geiger (Mike), and Heather Hall, and a cherished great-grandmother to Toni, Mikie, Jace, Ethan, Harper, and Kinsley.

She is also survived by her brother John Stoughton (Sally) and sister Mary Newey (Don), along with many nieces and nephews. Lucy was one of five Stoughton siblings and remained close with her family throughout her life.

Lucy built a career marked by dedication and professionalism. She proudly served as secretary to Kissimmee City Manager Charlie Tyson, later worked as executive secretary with the Luzadder family at the Osceola Shopper, and finished her career as an administrative assistant to Alan Starling at Starling Chevrolet. Lucy was a lifelong Chevrolet fan and remained loyal to the brand for many years.

A funeral service will be held on March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 700 Brown Chapel Rd, St. Cloud, Florida. Family and friends are warmly invited to join the family for lunch afterward to share stories, memories, and laughter in celebration of Lucy's life.
