Earleen Faye House Crowson passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS, with her family by her side. Earleen was born on April 5, 1963, to Earl and Doris House in Moweaqua, Illinois. She graduated from the Decatur School of Practical Nursing. She moved to Louisville, MS, in 1983, and shortly thereafter, married Frankie Joe Crowson. Their union produced two sons – Joshua Isaac Crowson and Richad Earl Crowson.
Earleen worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Winston Medical Center Nursing Home for 35 years. She remained an important member of the staff until her medical retirement in 2025. Earleen was a very caring, compassionate nurse who helped countless families of our community in need during her working years. Earleen was a loving grandmother who was thrilled to attend the events of her grandchildren.
Earleen is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Doris House. She is survived by her two sons, Josh (Mary Margaret) and Richard of Louisville, MS; her two grandchildren, Cara and Cayden Crowson of Louisville, MS; sisters, Wini (Chip) Aschenbrenner of Niles, MI, Sandi (Rick) Callison of Moweaqua, IL, and Barb (Andrew) Kemery of Gautier, MS; as well as a host of extended family.
A celebration of life for Earleen is planned for April 18, 2026, at South Louisville Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Crowson officiating the service. There will be a visitation one hour prior the the service.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Winston Medical Center, as well as the staff at St. Dominic Hosital, for their care of Earleen.
