Earlene Rose Robinson, age 82 of Burnsville, passed away Sunday, December 5th, 2021 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Estelle Yelton Gouge. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Robinson and her daughter–in–law, Martha Robinson.
She devoted her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Madison Manor in Mars Hill, NC.
Surviving is her son, Chris (Barbara) Robinson; two grandchildren, Karey (Thomas) Rocha and Emily (Cody) Hollifield; great-grandchildren: Nora and Kaden Hollifield and Lincoln Rocha; two step great–grandchildren, Addy and Trinity Bennett; sister–in–law, Phyllis (Wayne) Dupree; nephew, Doug (Renease) Filban; and other special nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Private Family Services will be held in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Reverend Stacy Elkins will officiate. Burial will take place in the Gouge Cemetery in Mitchell County, NC. Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests those who attend to wear face masks/coverings.
