Earline Hill Obituary
CARBONDALE - Earline "Sally" Hill, 92, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Reflections Memory Care in Herrin.
Sally was born on September 27, 1931, in Lincoln to Harold and Ava (Simmons) Payne. She married Marion Hill and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2023.
She touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness and grace. Sally worked at Tuck Tape Manufacturing for many years and was a member of the Ridge Church.
Sally will be remembered by her family, including her loving son, Morris Wayne Bantel and devoted daughter-in-law, Victoria Bantel of Maryville; granddaughters, Krystal (Jason) Crichlow of Clearwater, FL and Selena (Zach) Sweet of St. Charles, MO; great-grandsons, Logan and Noah Crichlow and one more great grandchild on the way; and very special friends, Charlotte Imhoff and Loretta Cooley.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Ava Payne and previous husband Morris Dean Bantel, and Marion Hill.
Graveside services for Sally will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Rowan Cemetery in Makanda with Rev. Wes Henson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ridge Church and will be accepted at the graveside service.
