Earline Joyce Stineff Trim, 82, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston with loved ones by her side. Earline was born on October 2, 1942, a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles where she was a graduate of Marion High School.
Earline was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose love for her family was boundless and unwavering. She was voted High School Sweetheart her senior year by her peers. She had a green thumb and plants to prove it. She never met a stranger and her love for telling others about Jesus Christ will be carried on through those that loved her.
Earline dedicated her life to her family, spending many joyful years as a devoted homemaker. She is survived by her cherished children: daughters, Wendy Landry (Pat) of Lake Charles, LA, Aimee Stensaker (Richard) of Orange, TX, Mandy Trim (Chad) of Iowa, LA; sons, Scott Trim (Patty) of San Antonio, TX, Jeff Trim (Diane), Kirk Trim (Pam) of Lake Charles, LA; Grandchildren, Sydney, Marcus, Michael, Kristen, Brody, Evan, Tyler, Hannah, Elijah, Isaac, Yvette, Rhi, Amber, Shelby, Jenna, Trinity, Breanna, Kamryn, Cheryl, Isidro; eleven great grandchildren; dear best friend Kathy Ryder and niece Donna Ann Higginbotham. She was preceded in death by her husband who was the love of her life, John Steve Trim; parents, Earl and Helen Weick Stineff, two brothers, Donald Stineff and Kenneth Stineff; one sister, Barbara Stineff Weigand; and one grandson, Garrett Trim.
The family of Earline would like to thank Ms. Veronica Fontenot for her friendship, love and care, MD Anderson Cancer Center Leukemia team and the MD Anderson Acute Palliative team.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 10:00AM in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, 812 Kirkman Street, Lake Charles, LA. 70601 under the direction of Rev. Weldon Bares. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
