Earlyne Charlene Weigel (Stecklein) passed away peacefully on April 9th at Hays Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 6, 1955, the only child to Alvin and Albina Stecklein. She grew up on the farm and graduated from Ellis High School. Earlyne also worked at Travenol for fifteen years.
If anyone knew Earlyne, she had a love for country music, thrift shopping, and her animals. If Earlyne wasn't at the thrift store she was crocheting or sewing with her dog Bandit laying on her lap. Must of all she loved her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father.
She is survived by her husband Patrick Weigel of 38 years, her children; Cole (Brooke) Weigel, Victoria KS; Nicole (JC) Moos of Victoria KS; followed by her grandkids Saige, Havanna, John, Jaxson, and Jonessa. Earlyne is also remembered by many cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM at The Basilica of St. Fidelis - Victoria with Father James Moster, OFM Cap., officiating. Interment will follow the services in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery - Ellis. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
