Life Reflections
Earnest Duke Harrison was born on February 11, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 33. Earnest was known for his quiet strength, gentle heart, and the deep love he had for those around him.
Whether you knew him for a moment or a lifetime, he had a way of making you feel seen, supported, and valued. He graduated from Andy Dekaney High School in 2011 and continued his education in Human Services at Gary Job Corps in San Marcos, where he built both practical skills and lifelong friendships.
Earnest had a natural gift for caring for others, and he poured that gift into his work and his community. He especially treasured his role as a Pathfinder, where he served with humility and joy-mentoring others and giving back to those around him. Earnest remained active throughout his life, especially enjoying biking and spending time outdoors. Earnest's faith was a quiet, steady presence in his life.
He was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ at a young age at Houston Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church, and his belief in God's promises guided his choices and gave him peace. He remained an active member of Houston Berean until his passing. In times of sorrow, we find comfort in the words of 2 Corinthians 5:8: "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
Earnest was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Lewis Duke and Earnest Mae Henderson; his grandmother, Carolyn Henderson; and his father, James Odie.
He is survived by his loving mother, Robin Harrison; his sisters, Raven, Sky, and Faith; his brother, Stone; his nephew, Jacoby; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
