Ed Ace Beam, Sr., 77, of Gastonia passed away July 20, 2023 at his residence.
Ace was born in Gastonia North Carolina on September 28, 1945 to the late James Davidson Beam and Daisy Grindstaff Beam.
He proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps, and was stationed in Guam. He was very passionate about the Armed Forces. He was very into self-help and being independent, but most of all, he loved his family above all else. Over the last year he developed a stronger relationship with his grandson, Dylan.
He is survived by his sons, EJ Beam, and Ritch Beam and his wife, Stephanie; their mother, Libby Cook; his brother, Tony Beam and wife, Ellen; and his grandchildren, Dylan Beam and Grace Beam.
A private interment will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
