Ed Dunkle Obituary
ED DUNKLE
August 8, 1939 ˜ March 18, 2023
Ed passed away on March 18, 2023. He enlisted in the army in 1961, attended OCS, and graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant and served two tours in Vietnam and retired as a Major. After the Army he went on as a manager for Fred Meyer until he retired again. Ed was also active in the American Legion and was a post commander of Post 14 and a former Chef de Gare of the 40 et 8.
Ed is survived by his wife, Beverly of 63 years; Robin (Rick) Herz, Mark (Sabine) Dunkle, Andrew (Linda) Dunkle of Vancouver; sister, Helen Patterson of PA; three grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery, Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at the 40 et 8, May 27, 2023 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. 2809 NE 78th St.
