Ed Gee was born on January 2, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late James Gee, Sr. and Leola Gee. He departed this life on September 12, 2025, in Duncan, Mississippi. Due to problems associated with mental challenges, Ed was institutionalized most of his life. Despite these challenges, he found joy in the simple things - watching television, observing those around him, and spending time in peaceful environments. He was known for his gentle spirit and quiet presence, and he was deeply loved by his family. Ed was preceded in death by his father, James Gee, Sr.; mother, Leola Gee; brother, James Gee, Jr.; sister, Hardy Gee; uncle, Willie Gee; aunt, Hardy Walker; niece, Luvenia Epps; and nephew, Johnny Gee. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted sister, Janie Epps of Forrest City, Arkansas; niece, Leola Watson (Damond Watson, Sr.) of Cordova, Tennessee; and nephew, Mario Gee. Also left to honor his legacy are his great-nieces and great-nephews: Damond Watson, Jr., Corban Watson, Jenna Watson, Brooke Watson, Trevor Watson, Raina Wat-son, Chelsie Watson all of Cordova, Tennessee; Latasha Epps of Forrest City, Arkansas and Dexter Jennings of Memphis, Tennessee; great- great nieces and nephews, Mariah Jones, and Maliyah Jones, all of Forrest City, Arkansas; Kia Watson and Kamarie Watson of Cordova, Tennessee. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory and the love he shared.
