Eda Gray Mason, age 75, a lifelong resident of McKenney, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Born October 26, 1949, at Cherry Hill (McKenney, VA,) she was the daughter of the late Lawrence “Shorty” Mason and Lucy Ozmore Mason. She was also preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Leslie Morton Daulton, a sister, Frances Daulton, and a brother, Peter Mason.

Eda was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose love for her family knew no bounds. She would do anything for you at the drop of a hat. Eda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She spent countless hours tending to her beautiful garden, where she cultivated not only flowers but also cherished memories with her children. Her passion for fishing brought her peace, and weekends spent at the beach with her family were among her happiest moments.

Eda is survived by her children, Diana Wheeler (Glen) and Mark Daulton (Cristine); grandchildren, Shawn Williams (Jessica), Stephen Wheeler, Austin Wheeler, Ashley Wheeler (Charlie), Lance Daulton (Christina), Colt Daulton, Cody Daulton, Zoey Daulton, and Shayla Daulton; great grandchildren, Mason Williams, Owen Williams, Luke Wheeler, Sydney Wheeler, Lundhyn Shupe, Alexis Clyburn, Joseph Clyburn, Atreus Daulton, Bronx Daulton, and Casalaya Daulton; a great great grandson, Gunner Dalton; a brother, A.B. Mason (Pat), former husband and close friend, Tom Bottoms, as well as a large extended family, all of whom will carry her spirit and love in their hearts. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory in Lawrenceville, VA. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury Memorial Cemetery, McKenney, VA. Following the service, family and friends will gather at the McKenney Ruritan Club to celebrate her life.
