Eddie Bishop Obituary
Mike was Born December 20th, 1949 in Somerset KY to the late Gerald Marion Bishop and Mary Losie Evans Bishop. Preceded in death by his sister Brenda Gail Denney. Survived by two brothers Gerald (Jerry) Bishop of Jamestown TN, Jeff & Kathy Bishop of Eubank KY and one sister Tracy & Larry Wheeldon of Somerset KY. Two sons Michael (Andy) & Shawna Bishop of Eubank KY, Matthew Bishop of Eubank KY and one daughter Whitney & Nick Justice of Knoxville TN. Eight grandchildren Leandra & Nathan Epperson, Austin Barron, Jacob Shepherd, Jadon Bishop , AbiGrace, Emma, & Noa Justice as well as three great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
A member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church, former Pulaski County Jaycee, Republican, Bricklayer, Repo Man for Citizens N Bank, Insurance salesman, & Supervisor at Tecumseh Products Inc.
A well dressed man with a witty sense of humor, strong opinions, a very good cook, who liked to talk and get to know people. A very good fisherman, man of faith, who was passionate & competitive, he wouldn't "Let" you win at anything, you had to earn it. He loved his family & friends immensely. He'll be sorely and eternally missed by his loved ones but they're at peace knowing that he's at peace in the presence of the Lord and reunited with loved ones gone before him. Rest In Peace Dad, we love you.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Chaplain Philip Majcher officiating.
Burial will follow at Mill Springs National Cemetery.
Military Honors will be performed by American Legion Post 38.
The family will receive friends from 5PM to 8PM on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
