Obituary for Eddie "Joe" Chreene
Eddie "Joe" Chreene, age 57, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on November 7, 2024, the same day he was born, November 7, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. Joe was the beloved son of A.D. Chreene and Dorothy Mae (Blankenship) Chreene, and a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Joe had a great love for life and a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, and show chickens-hobbies that brought him much joy and allowed him to share countless memories with his family and friends. Known for his wit and storytelling ability, Joe had a gift for captivating those around him with his tales, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and warmth.
Joe's family was everything to him. He was a devoted father to his son, Bradley Chreene and daughter-in-law, Nicole, and a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren: Brookelynn Calvert, Ashzalynn Calvert, Brinley Chreene, Tripp Chreene, and Collen Chreene.
He is also survived by his brothers: Norman, Dale, Alan, Raymond, Larry, and Bubba Chreene; his sister, Barbara Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will all remember him fondly.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Dorothy Chreene, and his wife, Wanda "Jean" Chreene, whom he loved deeply.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville, Texas.
A graveside service to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Quinlan, Texas. Brother Roger Ratliff will officiate the service.
Joe, you will be deeply missed. Rest in peace.
