Ben was born May 22, 1955 in Grand Cane, Louisiana to Irene Chreene and passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in Shreveport.
Ben was born and raised in Grand Cane, Louisiana, and later attended Waskom High School in Waskom, Texas, where he proudly played on the football team. He went on to serve his country as a missile crewman in the U.S. Army, earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Ben had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, cooking, or gathered with family and friends. Ben is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Chreene; grandmother, Louise Chreene; and sister, Sheila Booth. Left to cherish his memory is his life partner, Tina Walker; son, Michael Chreene; brother, Daniel Chreene; sisters, Bobbie Jo Hall, Elaine Holmes, and Ann Davis.
Honoring Ben as pallbearers will be Jordan Gilbert, Jeremy Cobb, Michael Chreene, and Thomas Callahan. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joe Thornton, Malcolm Norwood, Richard Gilbert, and many more.
Ben will be terribly missed, but we will continue to love and cherish his memory forever.
