Eddie Dollar

Mr. Eddie Dollar, 71, of the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Dollar was born February 8, 1954, in Hogansville, son of the late Shirley Childers Wright and Joseph Murray Dollar. A 1972 graduate of Hogansville High School, he was a retired carpenter and was a member of Union Baptist Church. Eddie loved shooting pool and was captain of the Dixie Shooters Pool League. He was also an avid golfer and loved playing cards and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Dollar of St. Marks; daughter, Jill Miller and her husband Donald Miller of LaGrange and their children, Andy Miller and Katie Miller; son, Dr. Edgar J. Dollar II and his wife Pamela Dollar of Williamson and their children, Ella Dollar, Brooks Dollar, and Allie Dollar; sisters, Diane and James Allen of Hogansville, Anita Wright of LaGrange, Wanda and Andy Snell of Madison; and brother, Bill and Paula Wright of LaGrange. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Angie Wright Gray and Wendy Dollar Durrett; and his grandparents who helped raise him, Brown and Mattie Dollar.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, at Union Baptist Church in St. Marks. The Reverend Brian Haught and Dr. Richard Hanner will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11.
