Mrs. Frances Herndon, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Herndon was born October 17, 1946, in Newnan and was a lifelong resident of Hogansville. She worked as a nurse at Clark Holder Clinic and then Emory LaGrange for 25 years.
Frances is survived by her devoted husband Richard Herndon; her son, Al Herndon and Paige Cason; and her granddaughter, Allie Keiss and her husband Dylan Kiess, along with their children Mary Collins and Harrison. She is also survived by Paige's children Kyle, Tori, Ally Cason, as well as her granddaughter Ari Olgetree. Survivors also include her brother, Robert Harrison and his wife Sybil and Robert's daughters Paulette and Nikki; and her brother, David Harrison and his daughter Ashley.
Frances was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Wayne Herndon; mother, Lizzie Harrison; father, William Harrison; her Uncle Donald and Aunt Jean Phillips; her beloved Grandmother Maggie Emory; and her very good friend, Debbie Staley.
A service to celebrate the life of Frances Herndon will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, prior to the service.
