On January 3, 1945, in Washington, GA, the late Tommy George and Lizzie Gladmon gave birth to a wonderful provider, leader, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, Eddie Bernnie (EB) Gladmon. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Tommy G. Jr., Simon, Lee, Willie Lee, twin brothers Lloyd and Floyd and Robert. Three sisters Claudine Gladmon, Rolene Quinn, and baby sister, Rose Mae Gladmon.

Eddie graduated in 1964 from Wilkes County Training School, later renamed Washington Wilks Comprehensive High School, where he met his lifetime friend and companion Barbara (Williams) Gladmon in 1961. He was an outstanding athlete in the position of quarterback of the Wilkes County Wildcats. He coached the little league baseball for two years. He took an early retirement after serving twenty-six years at what was formerly known as Western Electric, renamed AT & T and later went under the name Lucent Technology. He served in positions as a line leader. Later after attending leadership classes at what was formally Gainesville Community College now North Georgia University and Kennesaw University where he later served in a supervisor position.

In 1980 he moved from Atlanta to Gainesville, GA where he became affiliated with New Life Missionary Baptist Church where he served for 25 years in the Deacon Board under the leadership of Rev. L.C. Teasley.

In 2005, he and his family united with the First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Isaac Whitehead Jr., where he served faithfully on the Deacon Board and the Male Chorus until his health declined where he was no longer able to serve.

After several years of battling illness, he succumbed to the eternal care of the Lord on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Barbara of fifty nine years, three children: son Eddie B. Gladmon Jr., daughter: Felicia Michelle Gladmon, son: Brian (Anastasia) Gladmon, Sr., twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother Randolph Gladmon of Washington, GA, two sister-in-law's, Mary Jones ad Nettie Ambrose of Atlanta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and caring friends.
