Eddie Hall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dial-Murray Funeral Home - Moncks Corner on Oct. 1, 2024.
Edwin "Eddie" Friel Hall III, 40, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away on September 22, 2024. Eddie was a beloved husband, father, teacher, mentor, and kidney transplant recipient who dedicated his life to creativity, education, and advocacy.
Born with a passion for the arts, Eddie spent 15 years as a high school theater teacher before venturing into other industries. He began his career in Annapolis, Maryland, as an English teacher before finding his true calling in drama. He made his way south and brought the magic of Broadway to Summerville through Cane Bay High School, where he was the drama director from 2014 to 2019. His love for theater was evident in the performances he directed. Eddie pushed, challenged, and inspired his students, drawing out their very best and creating unforgettable productions. His legacy as an educator continues in the countless students he mentored, many of whom consider him a lifelong inspiration. Even after his tenure at Cane Bay, Eddie remained deeply connected to the arts and his students, always willing to offer guidance and support.
As a kidney transplant patient, Eddie battled countless health challenges and complications, but fought with unwavering grace and resilience. Eddie was passionate about living organ donation and used his own experience to educate others, providing transplant patients with information
about finding a living donor and helping them to navigate that challenging process.
Eddie's greatest joy, however, came from his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica Hall, and their daughter, Gabrielle "Gabby" Hall, who was the light of his life. Eddie often said, "If I achieve nothing else in this lifetime, I'll always have pride that this little girl will know safety,
love, and fun with her Momma and Dada." His surviving family also includes his parents, Elise and Edwin Hall Jr., his sister, Brooke Hall, his paternal grandmother, Gail Burriss, his cousin, Martha Sherbert, and his niece, Shelby Sherbert.
To quote one of Eddie's students, "His love outweighed his loud," and we will continue to carry that love in our hearts.
Arrangements for a Celebration of Life will be released at a later date.
