Mr. Eddie L. Moore, age 75, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2025 from an aneurysm and massive stroke. He was born on November 30, 1949 to Raymond Moore and Lagusta Hughes in Cleveland, Mississippi. He was raised in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Tilden High School in 1968.
Mr. Eddie L. Moore was employed by the City of Corpus Christi Street Department as a Heavy Equipment Operator from 1985-2005. He was also employed at US Steel and Bethlehem Steel as a Crane Operator in Gary and Portage, Indiana.
Mr. Eddie L. Moore was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed attending church, fishing, cooking, barbequing, and spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered as a "no-nonsense" kind of guy, slow-to-anger with a quiet demeanor, always willing to help anyone in need, and offered sound, advice when asked. He wanted to leave this with his loved one's. "Life is short, death is sure, everyday above ground is a good day, make it count."
Mr. Eddie L. Moore is preceded in death by his parents Raymond Moore and Lagusta Hughes. Brother's John Wesley Moore and William Davis McGoodwin and sister Annie Lee Heard.
Mr. Eddie L. Moore leaves to cherish and celebrate his memory his loving wife, Frankie J. Monroe-Moore, sisters Mildred Geneva Edwards and Glades Williams, brother-in-law's, Martin Standifer, Melvin Standifer wife (Jean standifer) and Leonard Standifer his children, Eddie L. Moore Jr. (Bridget Moore) Tamika McClain (Paris McClain), Catina McCullough, Demetrius Monroe (Michelle Monroe) grandchildren, Aja, Kevin, Gabriella (Gabby), Aaliyah/Wyatt, Demetrius Jr./Paola, Jeramiah (Jerry), Jaquin (Jackie)/Stacey, Kiaira (Kiki) Dionna, Paris Jr., Tamia, Dahvon, Azalea (Azzy), Jada, and Jordan, great-grandchildren, Cameron (Cam), Camilla, Caiden, Aliana, Noah, Micha and Ella and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he truly loved.
