Eddie Torres Mora, 69, a lifelong resident of Port Isabel, TX passed away on August 12, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Eddie was a devoted member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a proud part of the Port Isabel community. He was a1975 graduate of Port Isabel, TX. and he was voted class favorite. He played football for the Tarpons and was a devoted fan. Eddie was well known for being a kindhearted loving man with a beautiful soul.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Jose Mora Sr. and Juanita Mora; siblings; Guillermo Mora, Jose Angel Mora, Robert Mora, Juan Jose Mora (+Rosario) and Daniel Mora.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maria Teresa "Terrie" Mora; son, Eric Jay (Clara) Mora; daughter, Amanda Jean (Yazmani) Mora; 2 brothers, Rolando Javier Mora (Rosa) and Jorge Luis Mora (Sylvia); 2 sisters, Isabel (Jesus) Quesada and Delia Norma (Librado) Benavidez; 2 sisters-in-law, Lupita Mora and Mary Mora; 4 grandchildren, Jennesa Mora, Eric Mora, Darren Mora and Josiah Ayden Reyes.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, TX with cremation to follow in accordance with his wishes.
Serving as Pallbearers are Eric Jay Mora, Darren Mora, Eric Jozef Mora, J.J. Mora, Guillermo "WillieBoy" Mora, Jesse Quezada, Rolando Mora, and Omar Dunque.
