Eddie Lee Pierre, 88, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Eddie Lee was a retired elementary and middle school teacher who loved to sing. Wife to retired Lt. Colonel Russell Pierre, Jr., Eddie Lee was a Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church Celestial Choir member for more than 25 years. She also sang in the church choir wherever Russell's military life took them. Family, friends and church members are welcome to attend the Celebration of Life Service for Eddie Lee at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, 3826 Wheeler Street, Houston, Texas 77004 on March 7, 2026 at 10 a.m.

In all things, give thanks! Lord we praise you for the life, labors, loves and longevity of Ms Eddie Pierre! A precious lady! I remember her from the choir at Wheeler!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Pierre through her daughter Tracey at The Ohio State University because we were roommates. She welcomed me into her home the year Tracey and I had the pleasure to attend the Cotton Bowl. A very kind spirited woman who always had a smile. Sending prayers of peace, comfort, and strength to my good friend Tracey, Mr. Pierre, and the rest of her family.
