Mr. Eddie Joe Royston, 78, of Royston, GA passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at his home. Mr. Royston was born on March 28, 1947, in Royston, GA, son of the late Judge Holder Royston, Jr. and the late Eulala Walters Royston. He was a business owner and entrepreneur. He had two businesses, Eddie's Cabinets and Big Oak BBQ. Eddie also was a member of the Hartwell and Royston Bass Club, Bassmasters, FLW, and Royston VFW. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Royston. Survivors include son, Joey Royston of Commerce, GA; daughter, Kandy (Jeff) Bond of Royston, GA; brother, Bobby (Joyce) Royston of Royston, GA; sister, Ann (Danny) Dove of Commerce, GA; grandchildren, LeAnna (Colt) Hart, Adrianna (Trent) Feltman, Savanna (Ryan) Matheson, and Brecken Royston; great grandchildren, Jolee, Briar, Sage, Laila, Trace, and Emmie Lou Hart, Anna Grace and Avie Lee Feltman, and Hazy May Matheson; and other loved ones, Candaice (Vance) Purcell, Colton, Lakelyn, Camden, and Eric (Melissa) Hart, Cutler and Riggs. Funeral services for Mr. Royston will be held at Zidon Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, with Rev. Andy Bond officiating. Interment will follow in the Cary Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Zidon Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday morning. During other times, the family will be at their respective homes. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
