Eddie Swift Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stumpff-Barnsdall Funeral Home - Barnsdall on Mar. 18, 2026.
Eddie Lee Swift, age 79, of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, passed away on March 14, 2026.

He was born on December 8, 1946 to Huskal Dean and Bessie (Collins) Swift. He lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and deep devotion to his family.

Starting at 18 years old, Eddie began his career in the oil field. He later worked at Woolaroc for a period of time before building a long and steady career with Baker Hughes, where he dedicated approximately 35 years of service. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to doing every job with pride.

Eddie married the love of his life, Alice Faye, on May 2, 1965. Their marriage was a lifelong partnership filled with love and unwavering support. Both Eddie and Alice have now gone on before us.

He is survived by his children, Eddie Jr. (Pam) Swift and Jason (Shelly) Swift; his beloved grandchildren, Brittanie, Kaycie, Nikki, Jessie, and Courtney; and his great grandchildren, Nathan, Ellie, Nolan, Lucky, Axl, Aubrey, and Lettie.

Eddie is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Swift, and sister in law, Ella Swift.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Huskal Dean and Bessie (Collins) Swift; his sisters, Margie Reeb, Maxine Long, Betty Henshall, Carol Parker, Imodean Barrett, and Peggy Swift; and his brothers, Jack Swift and Lloyd Swift.

Eddie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He spent countless hours listening to the music of Waylon Jennings and Randy Travis, and he loved relaxing at home playing on the computer. He also enjoyed tinkering around outside in the yard, always finding something to fix, adjust, or improve.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
