Edgar Albert Obituary
Edgar Haze Albert, 96, died May 22, 2023, in Stafford Springs CT. He was the son of the late Peter and Marie (Levesque Albert) Edgar.
Edgar served with the Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged after many years of service. After leaving the service, he lived and worked as a machinist in Hartford, CT until his retirement. Edgar then resided with his sister, Mary Soucie, and her family until seven years ago when he moved in with his niece, Christine King, and her husband in Dayville, CT.
A life-long bachelor, Edgar always had a love for nature. He enjoyed gardening, motorcycling, scuba diving, hiking, canoeing, and camping, as well as letting a little steam off with his friends.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Soucie, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Maurice, Hubert, Peter, Donald, and Gilbert; and two sisters, Beatrice Levasseur and Kathleen Rogelio.
There will be burial with full military honors to be held on Thursday, June 1st at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the Committal Chapel at 11:30am. Connecticut Funeral Care is honored to have been entrusted with Edgar's care and final arrangements.
