Edgar Allen Noyer Jr.

Edgar Allen Noyer Jr., age 85, of Auburn, WA, passed away on October 8, 2022. Edgar was born on May 25, 1937, to Edgar and Dorothy Noyer in San Francisco, CA. Edgar started his 40+ year career in the paper industry with Crown Zellerbach / James River in 1955 at the San Leandro, CA, bag factory.
Edgar advanced his career from operator, to instrumentation technician, and then to supervisor at the paper mill in Antioch, CA. In 1977, he moved to the Seattle Engineering office as an Instrumentation Project Engineer. In 1985, he transferred to the Corporate Engineering facility in Camas, WA. He retired in June 1st 1999 as a Senior Project Engineer and relocated back to the Seattle area.
Edgar married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Lois Eileen Hill, on December 18th , 1954. He was a devoted and loving husband, and a loving and proud father.
In his free time, he enjoyed electronics, computers, gardening, watching sports, and vacationing in Puerto Vallarta. He was an avid Pinochle and Cribbage player.
Edgar leaves behind his beloved wife, Lois, and their three children, Jeffery (Sharon) Noyer, Donna (John) VanMeter, and Kenneth (Dona) Noyer. He was the proud grandfather of Jeffery's daughter Jennifer and son Scott, and Kenneth's daughter Jessica and son Kyle, and had six great grandchildren.
Edgar will be greatly missed by his family and his prized African Grey parrot, Roscoe. Edgar was a great man.
A memorial service will be held on October 27, 2022, at 1 PM at the Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, WA.
