Edgar Norman Pierce, Jr., age 74, a lifelong resident of Rawlings, VA, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Norman was an avid sportsman. He was a longstanding member of the Virginia and National Trappers Associations. He had a passion for the land and the ways of old. A lifelong hunter and fisherman, he took great joy in teaching the youth about wildlife, the outdoors, and hard work.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Henshaw Pierce; his son, Marshall Edwin Pierce, as well as a large extended family.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Concord Presbyterian Church in Rawlings, VA, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Trappers Association. Mail checks to VTA Treasurer, 1193 Old Church Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
