Edgar Francis Steg

Edgar Francis Steg, known affectionately by friends and family as Ed, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, just one day after celebrating his 79th birthday. Born on May 6, 1946, in Baltimore City, Maryland, Ed was the beloved husband of Lynn Steg for 43 memorable years. He was a father to his sons, Bryan and Kevin Steg, and a cherished uncle to many loving nieces and nephews who brought great joy to his life.
Ed dedicated over three decades as a hardworking foreman with National Wire, where he was respected for his intelligence and adventurous spirit. When not shaping the lives of the individuals on his team, he could be found reveling in the thrill of Nascar races, cheering on his favorite driver, Jeff Gordan.
His zest for life and keen wit will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Ed's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Ed's life at the family owned Evans Life Celebration Home - 8800 Harford Road, Parkville, Maryland, 21234, on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025, 10:30am at Evans. Entombment to conclude all services at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
