Mary Edith Baker, age 95, of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Dalton Square.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.A. (Bub) and Pyrene Hall; husband, Johnnie Baker; brothers, Leonard, Cecil, Dallas, Vernon and Johnny Hall; and sister Opal Hunt.

Edith was a member of Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church. She was employed for over twenty-five years with the Whitfield County Tax Commissioners Office where she made many wonderful friends.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Steve Watkins of Tunnel Hill, Ellen and Mike Beason of Tunnel Hill; sister, Ruby Weeks of Rocky Face; brother and sister-in-law, Kendall and Joyce Hall of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Lesli and Jason Talley, Greta and Mark Beckler, Nick and Stacy Beason, Patrick Beason; great grandchildren, Evie, Jase, Jackson, Clay, Eli, Jeb and Lyla.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dalton Square, Amedisys Hospice, and her special evening sitters for their wonderful care and compassion.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 1:00pm until the funeral hour.

Burial will be in Dogwood Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church Building Fund.
