Edith Bass Carter, 89, of Kenly passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Buckhorn Methodist Church, 8102 NC Highway, 42, Kenly. Rev. David Arroyo and Rev. Carol Dean will officiate.
Edith was a retired switchboard operator with Wilson Memorial Hospital.
Edith is survived by her son, Patrick Henry Carter; daughter-in-law, Christine Elizabeth Carter; her granddaughter, Ava Elizabeth Carter and several loving nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark David Carter; parents, Carrie Bell Barnes and William Bass, and her sisters, Nancy B. Boykin and Barbara B. Lamm.
