Edith Carter Obituary
Edith Bass Carter, 89, of Kenly passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Buckhorn Methodist Church, 8102 NC Highway, 42, Kenly. Rev. David Arroyo and Rev. Carol Dean will officiate.
Edith was a retired switchboard operator with Wilson Memorial Hospital.
Edith is survived by her son, Patrick Henry Carter; daughter-in-law, Christine Elizabeth Carter; her granddaughter, Ava Elizabeth Carter and several loving nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark David Carter; parents, Carrie Bell Barnes and William Bass, and her sisters, Nancy B. Boykin and Barbara B. Lamm.
In lieu of flowers, consider memorials in Edith’s memory to Buckhorn Methodist Church, 8102 NC Hwy 42, Kenly, North Carolina, 27542 or to SECU Hospice House, 426 Hospital Road, Smithfield, North Carolina 27577.
