Rebecca Lorraine (Harvey) Weber, age 86, passed away surrounded by her family, who loved her deeply and will carry her memory forward.
Born May 30, 1939, in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Art Education.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David N. Weber; her parents, Glenn F. Harvey and Dixie L. Harvey; and her brother, Glenn F. Harvey, survived by his wife, Audrey Harvey.
She is survived by her daughter, JoLayne Cafasso (Dominic Cafasso); her son, David L. Weber (Beth Weber).
She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters, Chelsea Wilson (Jonathan Wilson) and Olivia Grimsley (Greg Grimsley).
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Hazel Méz Wilson and Cedar Reid Wilson, and Mabel Hays Grimsley.
Rebecca had an eye for design and decorating, and she had a deep love for British television and reading about history. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and researching family history. She took pride in a neat, well-kept home, was known for her perfect penmanship, and rarely missed her favorite breakfast with dippy eggs.
She was honest, caring, generous, and giving — and when she spoke her mind, it was always in her own candid, loving way. She valued family and God above all else. Rebecca instilled family traditions and values that will live on through generations, offering unconditional love and a steady example of what it meant to care for others.
For her family, Christmas was always the event of the year. She made sure everyone knew where they came from and equipped her children and grandchildren with the skills of homemaking — cooking, cleaning, laundry, crafting, and sewing — lessons that became part of her lasting gift.
