Charles L. "Chuck" Shaffer, 66, of Liberty Township, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at home.
He was born on February 4, 1960, in Bunola, PA, a son to Charles E. and Zona (Hood) Shaffer.
He graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
Chuck was known for his mechanical ability and a steady hand, dedicating his career to the car industry. He worked as a talented auto body technician until opening his own business, Auto Body Collision Specialist. Along with his work in the body shop, he often traded his automotive tools for woodworking tools, showcasing his knack for building and fixing.
Chuck found joy in golfing and would spend hours on the course, multiple times a week when the weather permitted. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling to various tracks to watch the races and interact with his favorite drivers. He found pleasure in hunting and fishing, and could be found on his kayak with his fishing rod. He spent many days at the family cottage in Pymatuning, relishing the peacefulness and surrounded by nature.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Theresa (Magda) Shaffer, whom he married in August of 1987; daughters, Jillian Shaffer (Erin Saling), Jennifer Shaffer and Lindsey Shaffer (Nate Carson); three wonderful, amazing granddaughters who he loved very much; and his special cousin, who lovingly referred to him as her "brother from another mother," Sandy Pastore.
Per Chuck's wishes, there will be no formal services. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date at their family cottage on the lake.
