Edith Dore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goes Funeral Care & Crematory - Fort Collins on Jan. 5, 2026.
Edith Melanie (Aragon) Dore, 61, passed away peacefully from cancer on Christmas Day. Edith was born on September 25, 1964 in Greeley CO. She was known for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the deep devotion she carried for those she loved.

Edith built a life rooted in care and loyalty. Her son and family were the center of her world. She was the kind of person who showed up - with baked goods, a listening ear, or a steady presence - and she made sure the people around her felt supported. She poured her heart into every role she held: daughter, sister, mother, and cherished friend.

Edith had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. She was genuinely interested in every person who crossed her path, always asking about their day, their life, and their wellbeing - even during her own most difficult moments. She made it a point to know each nurse and staff member who cared for her at the hospital, the cancer center, and later at Pathways Hospice. The affection they showed her in return was a testament to the heart connections she created wherever she went.

She was punctual, prepared, diligent, professional, and deeply dedicated, qualities that shaped both her work and her relationships. Edith loved to research and learn; whether the topic was real estate, finance, or health and wellness, she became a quasi expert in anything that captured her interest. She was a loyal friend to all who knew her.

Family was always her top priority. She took motherhood seriously and was determined to set her son, Nicholas, up for success - he was the light of her life. She was also a devoted caregiver to her mother, Bernadette, offering love and support until her own health no longer allowed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Manuel Aragon; all her grandparents; as well as, some aunts, uncles, and several cousins.

She is survived by her mother, Bernadette Aragon, her only son, Nicholas Robert Dore, her older brother, Jess Robert Aragon (Cindi), nieces; Brandi Broadley and Jordan Cannon, her younger brother, Matthew Aragon (Lori), and nephew, Ethan Merrick Aragon. She also leaves behind best friends who were like sisters. They will forever cherish her kindness, her humor, and the way she made even ordinary days feel meaningful.

Edith's Celebration of Life will be held on at The Wellington Filling Station Church, on February 21, 2026, (time to be announced). Refreshments will follow the service. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donations to help her son Nicholas in his pursuit of his college education, and goal of independent living. Contact Jess Aragon at [email protected] for more information on the way to donate.
