Edith Ann Dunn, 90, passed away Sunday, May 18 at the Washington Hospital. She was born April 11, 1935, at home in Eighty-Four, being delivered to this world by her father. Her parents were the late Edith Stinner and Luke R. Redigan. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1953, having attended all her school years there. She was married to Harold (Pete) Dunn on his birthday, October 14, 1953. They were married for 50 years. They raised six children in the house that her husband built. Surviving are daughters Deborah Ralston (the late David Arbuckle) and Cynthia (William) Knestrick. Her sons are Kevin (Robin), and Dennis (Michelle) Dunn and the late Bryan and Joseph Dunn. She has 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Luke and John Redigan and her sister Dolores Mozina. She graduated from Washington hospital school of nursing in 1981 and finished her nursing career as an office nurse for Dr. Richard Hahn at the age of 80. She had been a long time member of Emanuel UP church in Eighty Four. Funeral services are being handled by Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Ave, Washington, where visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday evening, May 20. Edith was an attending member of Faith UP church on East Beau St, where visitation will be held from 10-11am on Wednesday morning May 21, followed by the funeral service. Burial is at Queen of Heaven cemetery in McMurray. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of 5S Washington Hospital for the excellent care they provided over her last days.
