Edith MacMillan Bullock Gross, PhD

Edith MacMillan Bullock Gross, PhD, of Bellevue, WA, formerly of Ambler and Laverock, PA, died peacefully surround by family on July 25, 2023. Edith was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, professor, and friend. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of George D. Bullock and Katherine H. Bullock. She attended Cheltenham High School, Wyncote, PA, and graduated from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, with a Political Science degree in 1950. Edith received a doctorate from Bryn Mawr College in 1985. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1994. Dr. Gross taught sociology at Arcadia University, was chair of the department and retired as Assistant Professor Emerita.

Edith is survived by her sons, William Martin Gross Jr. (Sumiko Gross) of San Diego, CA, Paul Henry Gross (Lori Poliski) of Woodinville, WA and her grandchildren Claire Edith Gross and William Paul Gross; and her sister Janet Bullock Perper of Philadelphia, PA. She is predeceased by her husband William Martin Gross Sr., her son John Bullock Gross, her parents George Donald and Katherine Bullock, her brother Donald Hartmann Bullock, and her sisters Dorothy Bullock Moore and Shirley Bullock Adams.
