Edith Ann Howard, age 81, was born on December 10, 1944, and peacefully went home to be with her Heavenly Father on December 18, 2025.
Edith was a loving mother, grandmother, and matriarch whose life was defined by her devotion to family and her steadfast faith. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved and leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her children: Marsha Jenkins (Jerry Jenkins), Mark Haley, and Debbie Heard (Kim Heard). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Angela Cobb, Jeremiah Jenkins, Timothy Jenkins, and Josh Jenkins, and Lee Heard along with several beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
Edith’s presence will be deeply missed, but her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the promise of eternal life.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Gaddis officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 19th, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and 6:00 - 9:00 PM, and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
