Edith Jeanette Key, age 83, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in Adolphus, KY surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Mayner and Allean Spears on March 20, 1940 in Westmoreland, TN.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Eugene Key; her two sons, Roy Gene Key and Danny Ray Key both of Adolphus, KY; her three grandchildren, Mike and Ryan Key and Rylee Key; her two great-grandchildren, Caselynn Key and Kaily Key; and her sister, Peggy (William) Key of Bethpage, TN; her four brothers, James (Faye) Spears of Portland, TN, Donald Spears, Leo (Linda) Spears and Cleo (Shirley) Spears all of Gallatin, TN.
Funeral service for Mrs. Key will be conducted on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Mills and Bro. Leon Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 4th from 3PM-8PM and again on Saturday, August 5th from 9AM-service time at 11AM at Woodard Funeral Home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Daniel Ryan Key, Michael Kameron Key, Josh Robinson, Joey Robinson, Brandon Townsend, Jamie Brooks and Tommy Spears.
