Edith Masters Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - Marysville on Nov. 17, 2024.
Edith Marie Masters of Delaware, formerly of Marysville, passed away peacefully as she slept on Saturday, November 16, 2024. She was born June 7, 1927, to the late Dominic and Filomena (Ferroni) Grandominico in Columbus, Ohio.
She married the love of her life, Grant Masters, on April 7, 1945. He was their local paper boy and she was continuously teased by her siblings. She worked as a bookkeeper for several years and a tax consultant after moving to Marysville in 1970. Together they shared a dream to raise farm animals, build an apple orchard, and hobby farm over 100 acres.
After she retired, she became an avid golfer known for hitting a straight tee shot about 20 feet. She traveled with a close group of friends and volunteered for various organizations in Union County.
She will be remembered as a hardworking, fiercely independent, loving mother and grandmother that loved the outdoors. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Margie (Wayne) Dodge; granddaughters, Jennifer Roberts, Miranda (John Paul) Maszczak, and Stacy Marie (Tyler) Hall; and her great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Josh, Olivia, Charlotte, Grant, Vivian, Adrian, and John Jay. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Grant, in 1989; her brothers Ernest, Joseph, and Tony Grandominico; and her sisters, Elizabeth Winko, Mary Salini, Vivian Cooper, and Lucy Henthorn.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Marysville, followed by a private burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edith's memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1033 W. 5th St., Marysville, OH 43040, or Willow Brook at Delaware Run General Fund, 100 Delaware Crossing W., Delaware, OH 43015.
