Edith Ann (Myers) McCorkle, age 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 1, 2025.

Edith was born September 19, 1924, in Ottawa Hills, Ohio to Jesse and Catherine (Chittenden) Myers. She graduated from Ottawa Hills high school then continued her education at Stephens College (Missouri) for two years. After Stephens College, Edith went on to earn an Occupational Therapy degree at William and Mary College (Virgina).

In 1952, Edith married Paul McCorkle at her family home in Toledo, Ohio. Beginning their life together in Topeka, Kansas they ultimately settled in McCook, Nebraska. Their union was blessed with five children; Jess, Terry, Steve, Dee, and Scott.

Edith worked as an Occupational Therapist for many years. While living in Buffalo, New York, Edith was the director of Occupational Therapy at the Children's Hospital. In the McCook area, she worked with many youth and adults, ultimately retiring at age 80.

Throughout her life, Edith blessed the world with her many talents. She enjoyed crafting, and especially loved crocheting and knitting. Passing on her love of music, Edith taught piano lessons to many youth. Strong in her faith, she was especially active with her church. During Sunday morning services and Wednesday evening programs, Edith was a fixture at the piano. Her love of Jesus and music was further shared through her many gifts of volunteering, during countless children's church programs.

Upon leaving her home, for life at Kinship Pointe in McCook, Edith continued her legacy of service, playing piano for services as long as she was able.

A lover of travel, Edith ventured with friends and family to many places over the years including Colorado, Tennessee, and England.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; sister, Jessemae Noritake; son, Jess; grandson, Nathan; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Stephaine; and great-grandson, Brogan.
