Ryan Rankin Obituary
Ryan was born on December 4, 1987 in Wichita, KS to parents Opal Bullard and Dean Rankin. Ryan grew up in Wichita, KS, and went to elementary school through 8th grade, the family then moved to McCook, NE where he attended school through his junior year, before finishing school in Maxwell in 2021. Ryan loved Wheel of Fortune, bowling and listening and dancing to music, especially music by Garth Brooks. Ryan could often be found with his grandpa, someone he admired and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with. Ryan lived and worked at South Central Developmental Center in Cozad.
Preceded in death by sister, Amber Feeney-Robirds, brother, Alexander Feeney, grandparents, Harold Rankin, Melvin and Peggy Bullard, John and Joyce Feeney, Art Dobbeke and Buddy and Corrine East.
Ryan is survived by his mom and step dad, Opal (Tom) Feeney of Maxwell, NE, father and step mom; Dean( Cathy) Rankin of Wichita, KS, brothers, Kyle (Nicole) Rankin of Wichita, KS, Anthony (Erin) Feeney of Gretna, NE, Andrew (Courtney) Feeney of Kearney, NE, and Aaron Feeney of Maxwell, NE, sister, Brittany Feeney, of North Platte, NE; step siblings - Lauren Damman, of Wichita, KS, Henry (Samantha) Damman of Wichita, KS, Taylor Bell of Garden Plain, KS, grandmother Frieda Dobbeke, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held, Thursday, January 29, 2026, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm with family present from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be held, Friday, January 30, 2026, 10:30 AM at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Litzenberger officiating.
Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Maxwell, NE.
Memorials may be made to South Central Developmental Services, Cozad, NE.
